The relational passion flowing from the heart of His Father coupled with a relational desire to bring us into a dynamic relationship with them both, moved Jesus beyond the temporary moment of death producing emotions and circumstances. He persevered for the sake of relationships.
Healing Community
As a fourth generation Pentecostal, healing is a very familiar concept to me. God’s promises of healing are as common to me as his provision for salvation; the same sacred crucifixion process that delivered humanity from sin and restored man’s relationship with God also provided for the healing of my body and restoration to its original intent, designed in the image of God. I have believed in the concept of divine healing, studied the theology of healing, experienced the power of divine healing in my life personally, and seen it at work in countless people around me.
An Invitation to Community
Over time the idea of community has changed, especially with the challenges that the traditional family unit has faced. This has led to people finding their community in places outside the family unit. Many times these communities are developed around common identity; shared hobbies or interests, same workplace or school, common culture or lifestyle. Much of the ebb and flow of our everyday life, whether we recognize it or not, is experienced in community. When these communities break down, more than our relational health is impacted.
Navigating Work-Life Balance
Work-Life Balance is a catch phrase today in many circles; companies are even listing it as a benefit on job postings. With such visibility in the public eye, one would think more people have achieved this elusive goal, but the reality could not be further from the truth.
From Surviving to Thriving
I like people. I like to talk to them, I like to listen to them, I like to ask questions, I like to hear their stories. As our relationships mature and grow, sometimes we stop talking, listening, asking questions, hearing one another’s stories.
